Police are treating the disappearance of Normadie Farrar as an abduction.
Her father Adam Farrar, 43, is accused of hiding Normadie from the authorities, according to Los Angeles Police Department.
He was reportedly detained on Friday on "two Class A Misdemeanors...for possession of a dangerous drug and theft", but has not told the police where the child is.A source told Radar: "Adam and Charity have been hiding with Normadie in Texas, away from the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Service, who have long been involved in their cases due to their criminal pasts.
'"They had been staying in North Dallas. Now, no-one in the family is sure where their daughter is, at this time."
DiCaprio and Farrar grew up together after DiCaprio's father George married Farrar's mother while the Titanic star was a young child.
The pair used to be close although in recent years they have had little contact and reportedly "do not get along".
