NJ Transit trains running on altered schedule; buses face delays; most Newark flights cancelled

New Jersey Transit trains and buses are up and running with the state covered in snow — albeit not on a normal schedule.
Buses are facing 30 minute delays throughout the northern part of the state, while trains are operating on a modified weekend schedule, the agency said on its Twitter feed.
Meanwhile, light rail service is running on a normal schedule.
NJ Transit continues to cross-honor tickets across all services and its tickets are being accepted by private bus carriers.
At Newark Liberty International airport, hundreds of flights have been cancelled  Some flights are still scheduled to arrive after extensive delays.
New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport closed at 6:12 a.m. due to the winter weather conditions and is expected to stay shut until 8:30 a.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
There are speed restrictions on the George Washington Bridge (35 mph) and all three Staten Island crossings (25 mph), the Department of Transportation's traffic website.
